Pricing

£35 per hour
This is our standard rate for all educational sessions, including:

• New Device Setup & Confidence Training

• Online Safety & Scam Prevention Workshops

• Password Security and Best Practice Workshops

• Digital "Spring Cleans" to remove bloatware with clean-up advice

• Or General Tech Usage and Custom Sessions

Sessions are held in your home (Yeovil only) or at a neutral location like Yeovil Library (a space for these if you are out of town is currently pending)

£45 (Fixed Diagnostic Fee)*
This is for when your machine is actively broken, glitching, or won't start. This fee covers:

• Collection & Delivery service (within Yeovil).

• Dedicated bench time and our best effort to diagnose the fault.

• A report on the issue and a quote for the repair.

If you choose to go ahead with the repair, this £45 fee is waived entirely—you only pay the quoted price for the fix.

£45 (First Hour) 

For general troubleshooting, printer setup, or "gremlins" at your location.

• Includes: Travel (Yeovil only) and the first 60 minutes of labour.

• Additional Time: Charged at £20 per hour (or part thereof).

If it requires Workshop Repair:
Sometimes a fault is too complex to fix in your home. If I need to take the device to my workbench:

• The On-Site Fee becomes £25. (This covers the travel and initial check).

• The Workshop Diagnostic is just £20. (Bringing the total assessment cost to my standard £45).

Note: The £25 site fee is payable in all cases. The £20 workshop fee is waived if you proceed with the repair.

This is equal to our standard diagnostic fee. If the fault is straightforward and resolved within the diagnostic process (e.g., a software setting, a loose internal cable, or a quick configuration), the £45 covers the entire job.

For these simple repairs, we go ahead and fix the issue immediately within the agreed £45 fee—saving you a phone call and getting your machine back to you faster.

For more involved tasks that require deeper troubleshooting, component swaps or more involved software work (e.g., a fresh Windows installation, battery replacements, or simple data recovery). The cost of these if £65 as standard but many services in this bracket require custom quotes. We do our best to quote every job regardless, but sometimes repairs aren't always clear cut, if that's the case we try to stick to the £65 base rate.

For more complex issues like those pesky soldered DC ports, screen replacements, component swaps or more time consuming data recoveries. These are quoted individually based on the fact that part cost can vary wildly, labour times can vary on many jobs.

Please note: We do not currently undertake USB-C charging port repairs.
